3. Distinguish between money market and capital market. (5)

Or, Write a short note on Indian Call Money Market. (5)

4. Why do investors be protected? Mention its two objectives. (3+2)

Or, Give an account of the grievance redressal mechanism of stock exchange. (5)

5. (a) Distinguish between Commercial Paper(CP) and Certificate of Deposits(CD).

(b) Discuss the role of judiciary in investors’ protection. (5+5)

6. Explain the functions of capital market in an economy. (10)

Or, (a) Write a brief note on Indian debt market.

(b) Explain the inter-relationship between primary and secondary capital markets. (5+5)

7. (a) What are the differences between share brokers and share sub-brokers?

(b) Write a short note on Private Placement method of issuing new shares in the primary market. (6+4)

8. Discuss the role and functions of SIDBI. (5+5)

Or, Explain the functions of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). (10)

9. Define mutual fund. Explain its role in Indian Capital Market. (3+7)

10. Define merchant banks. Explain the functions of merchant banks in India. (3+7)

Or, (a) Briefly state the regulatory steps taken by SEBI in respect of merchant banks.
